Continuing Professional Development Requirements
Qualified and accredited play therapists and psychotherapists are required to engage in continuing professional development (CPD) activities throughout their career. In addition, standards prescribe requirements in relation to suitable supervisors and supervision ratios required.
Specific CPD requirements exist in relation to the pre-accreditation period for those working towards accreditation under Bye Law 9. Those seeking accreditation under Bye Law 8 or Bye Law 8a are advised to ensure that they have addressed all specified areas of training including those that take place within or outside the play therapy training itself.
