Becoming an Associate Member

Associate membership is open to any person who has an interest in play, therapeutic play and play therapy:

a.     graduates of play therapy training who have not completed or are not currently participating in an assessed training programme that covers the required training components specified for the post-course practicum;

b.     graduates of play therapy training who have yet to complete the required training components specified for the post-course practicum;

c.     students on non-IAPTP approved play therapy training courses;

d.     other interested persons.

 Please Note: Associate Membership does not cover associates to practice play therapy. Such practice is restricted to pre-accredited and accredited members.

To join IAPTP simply complete the Associate Membership Form online. Once your membership application is approved you will be emailed an invoice which you can pay online. Membership is renewable each January and currently costs €80 per annum. For new members joining after March 31st your first year’s membership will be discounted on a per-month basis.
