I have 24 years’ experience of working with children and families,
primarily working with children in the care of the state. My background includes
Community Care, Community Development, Drug Education and Prevention and Social
& Emotional Development, Ethnicity and Culture. Special Needs Assistant
overseas.
Supportive work with
parents and families; Facilitation of workshops including Behaviour Management,
Child Development, Supporting Separated Children, Trauma and the Importance of
Play. I work from a holistic approach, using methods best suited to the
individual child’s needs. My main
objectives are to enable children and young people to develop socially and
emotionally, and to be able to communicate with children and families and learn
from their culture, in order to establish a positive working relationship.
